17 New Design Settings to Make Your Podcast Website Truly Yours

From scroll animations to text highlights, Podpage just got a massive design upgrade

May 3, 2026

Your podcast website should look as unique as your show sounds. That's why we just shipped 17 new design customization options that give you more control over how your site looks and feels — no code required.

Every setting is available right in your Podpage dashboard under Colors, Fonts, Layout, Cards, Homepage Header, and Navigation. Here's what's new.

Animations That Bring Your Site to Life

Scroll Animations fade and reveal sections as visitors scroll down your page. Choose from four styles: Fade, Slide Up, Zoom In, or Slide Right. It's a small touch that makes your site feel polished and modern.

Hero Entrance Animation adds a staggered fade-in effect to your homepage header content when the page first loads. Your title, description, and artwork animate in one after another for a cinematic first impression.

Scroll Indicator places a gentle bouncing arrow at the bottom of your hero section, inviting visitors to keep scrolling. Click it and the page smooth-scrolls to your content.

Typography Controls

Heading Letter Spacing lets you tighten or widen the spacing between letters in your headings. Options range from Tight to Very Wide.

Heading Line Height controls vertical spacing between lines in multi-line headings. Choose Tight for compact headlines or Relaxed for more breathing room.

Body Line Height does the same for your paragraph text. Relaxed and Loose options make longer descriptions easier to read.

Highlight Words in Your Headings

This one is fun. Wrap any word in your heading with asterisks and it will appear in your primary color (or a custom highlight color you choose). For example, typing Founders *in* Arms in your homepage title will render "in" in your brand color while the rest stays in your heading color.

Set a custom Highlight Color under Colors or Fonts & Text settings to use a different color than your primary.

Section Design

Section Vertical Padding controls how much breathing room sits between your content sections. Go from Compact (tight and efficient) to Spacious (editorial and open).

Section Title Style adds decorative treatments to section headings like "Recent Episodes." Choose Underline, Left Bar, or Gradient Text.

Section Separators add dividers between sections. Pick from Line, Dashed, Dotted, or a Gradient Fade that elegantly tapers at both ends.

Background Texture overlays a subtle repeating pattern on your page background. Options include Grain, Dots, Grid, and Diagonal Lines. It adds visual depth without being distracting.

Card Customization

Card Shadow Style controls the shadow depth on your episode and content cards. None keeps things flat. Soft and Medium add dimension. Dramatic makes cards pop. Colored uses your primary color for a branded shadow effect.

Card Image Aspect Ratio forces a consistent shape on card images. Choose Square, Wide (16:9), Portrait (3:4), or Cinema (21:9) depending on your artwork style.

Episode Number Badge overlays a small badge showing the episode number on card images. Great for numbered shows where listeners want to see where an episode falls in the lineup.

Image Hover Overlay shows a dark overlay with a play icon when visitors hover over card images. A nice visual cue that the content is playable.

Header & Hero Effects

Header Background Style lets you apply gradient effects to your homepage header. Choose from Gradient Down, Gradient Diagonal, or Radial Glow to add visual interest beyond a flat color.

Parallax Background creates a depth effect where your header background image stays fixed while content scrolls over it.

Hero Text Shadow adds a shadow behind your hero heading text. Choose Subtle, Medium, or Strong. Especially useful when your heading sits over a background image and needs more contrast.

Navigation

Blurred Nav Background makes your navigation bar semi-transparent with a frosted glass blur effect. Content behind the nav gets softly blurred as you scroll.
